For Mental Health Providers

This page has been set up as a hub of information for mental health providers involved in or whose clients are involved in the Effective Altruism movement.

Context on Effective Altruism for Mental Health Providers

Julia Wise (a community liaison at the Centre for Effective Altruism) and Damon Sasi (a therapist involved in the Effective Altruism community) have put together a guide for mental health providers whose clients are involved in the Effective Altruism movement. The guide (accessible here) is kept short (only 4 pages) and provides a brief description of what Effective Altruism is, and what is and is not considered as a normal approach to life through the lens of the philosophy behind Effective Altruism.

Survey for mental health providers

If you’re interested in, working in or adjacent to the mental health sector, then you might be interested in this short survey by High-Impact Psychology (accessible here), which aims to define which infrastructure/community-related needs there might be in the mental health space.
